Artist Statement - Sculptures:

Sculpture appears more primitive every passing e-day. It is this conscious pre-historical reference which makes sculpture well suited to embody persisting realities. Power is resurrected perpetually in the guise of successive empires and like a structure cloned and mutated, subversive forces always reappear. These realities are typically experienced as binary relationship far preceding digital design.

Rogue elements amongst an established system are increasingly recorded in other species as well, and one can infer parallels of these revolutionary tendencies in principles of modern physics. A universe inherently contrary? A syntheses of energy and matter that fuels further dialectics? Certainly humans are sensate to seemingly intrinsic contradictions within the self that many be termed a mind - body phenomenon. For myself, staying tuned to the timelessness that ventilates this world is essential to maintain a coherent perspective.
